We drop off our kid at the day home in Coventry Hills at 6:30. My wife drops me off at 16th Ave and Centre street around 6:50 to catch the bus from there. We take Deerfoot and at that time it's not that bad. I'm in my office booting the computer and taking the first sips from my coffee by 7:15.
The way home is a different story. The last express bus from down town to Coventry Hills leaves at 5:10. I catch that whenever I can because otherwise you're at the mercy of connections at the 78th Ave terminal. If I catch the express I'm home by 6:15. If I leave later or have to make connections... ugh. Closer to 7:00.
The commute's not too bad if you learn to sleep sitting up. Sucks to be one of those people who has to stand in the aisle the whole way. Having an iPhone so you can surf CP or watch movies on the bus would be helpful.
