If you can avoid going north on Deerfoot between 24th St SE and Anderson between 7:15 and 8:30 am then living down south wouldn't be much for commute times. The same goes for southbound Deerfoot between Glenmore and Anderson during afternoon rush hour, although the problem is not nearly as severe since the traffic seems spread out over a longer time span.

Honestly, if I worked downtown I would buy in Silverado,or somewhere within walking distance to Sommerset Bridlewood station to commute. The train ride is kinda long, but at least you get a seat!
