For me Light beer tastes so poorly that I'd rather drink less beer and excercise more to deal with the calorie problem that 'regular' beer has. What is the point of even drinking beer if it's a re-engineered fabrication of the real thing? The only way that makes sense is if consuming beer is a daily occurance with multiple servings. If so I'd argue that one has already made the judgement call to not be in shape. Working 50+ hours a week and multiple beers a day = no excercise = poor shape = gut (Maybe not a gut as a result of drinking light beer but a gut none the less).
