Ground zero is pretty boring actually.... just a huge hole. The only thing that is really important to realize is just how big the site was but other then that.... Worth a look if you have days and days to spend i guess....
The Gugenheim has been undergoing ongoing renovations and many parts have been closed off. In the fall i did the entire thing in under an hour and not for lack of appreciation or trying... the spiral was ocmpletely closed and only 4/5(5/6?) of the back areas were open. Might be open now though... ?
The modern art at the Metropolitan is incrediable, Central Park is cool, MOMA gallery is very cool, shopping in SOHO (and everywhere else really...), and FAO schwarz toy store is pretty awesome.... Time Square is great for late night and i loved the food in Little Italy... SSSSoooo much to do! Just wondering around in incrediable!
