We live in a society where *some* people are controlled by shallow, superficial opinions as evidenced, but there are those (as evidenced as well) who don't let these ridiculous things make judgements for them.

Problem is the term ‘better’ is vague, is someone overall a better person because they are taller and slimmer? No that is ridiculous…and I think most people would agree with that.

Are they better looking? Probably for the most part those are the features we look for in the opposite sex. Personality does matter of course, but on a basic biological level people are attracted to people who look healthy.
