I guess that depends what era you grew up in. I think every single one of my friends and sisters and brothers friends had his album. He wasn't popular as a person, but his album was HUGE!! There isn't one person in the world that has been to a sporting event that hasn't heard Rock n Roll, though the younger generation won't know who he is. If you grew up in the 70's you definately knew who he was, funny thing is I don't remember ever seeing him on t.v. or even knowing what he looked like. He may be free, but he'll probably re-offend and end up back in jail. Problem is in England he got 2 months for molesting a minor, and he's back in England. I like the Michael Jackson reference though! These 2 shoulda made a boys club with Pee-wee Herman and that principal dude off of Ferris Bueller.
