Yes. I am enjoying the heat this year alot more because I get to take it in doses. Last year I was outside all day prepping and finishing concrete. The heat wreaked havoc on us some days by curing the concrete faster than we could scrub it out and finish it. When that happens, you have to kick into high gear and scrub the crap out of whatever you just poured so you're not only working in the sun, you're going double speed and pushing twice as hard on the crete with your float or trowel.
I have new respect for concrete finishers and other trades that work outside. Framers, roofers, painters, landscapers... Equipment operators that don't have AC in their machines... Even waitresses that have to run around patios carrying trays of beer.
Another tough job on a day like today would be a cop. They have to wear those black uniforms no matter what the temperature. And the body armour underneath.
