Last time I was in Palm Springs there was a city worker about to descend into a sewer, I asked him how hot it was down there since it was 110F outside, and he said it was 125F+ down there. Thats some unreal temperatures to work under.

I've spent some time Arizona where the outside workers start a 4 in the morning and quit at noon to avoid most of the heat.
