I was in NYC about 3 years ago and was surprised at the humidity, but my opinion is that it isn't even in the same league as Houston (just the heat, I mean). I am not sure how there are so many fat people there....you would think they would lose a ton of weight every summer just from sweating alone.
Another thing I remember about Houston is that it is a huge "car is king" city. I honestly can't remember seeing any mass transit at all. The freeways are bananas though. You will laugh at Deerfoot after driving in Houston for a few days.
