In grade 10 he was jumped, from behind in a hallway, (in front of a teacher) for bumping someones elbow.

In grade 11 he and a couple of friends were jumped, again from behind by a larger group of people.

You will have to scroll down a bit.

In grade 12, again it was a larger group attacking; when they went to another school to pick up his buddies girlfriend. This time there were weapons, glass bottles, belts and brass knuckles. He and one friend were taken to hospital via ambulance and required stitches.

It is not a matter of whether we live in a safe city or not; it is more a matter that we do not encourage young people to speak out.

The media does not cover stuff like this. The schools don't want it covered in the media; they don't even admit to parents it goes on! ! !

If your cousin even feels threatened; please do not take it lightly. Have him talk to his parents and the school liason officer.

People need to open their eyes. High school kids who are already involved in violence are tomorrows gang members.

Does your cousin know Richard McKain by chance?

All due respect to your son as I don't know him, but being jumped 3 times in 3 years sounds too often to be just random acts of violence. From my experience, when things like this happen frequently, they are often doing something to attract it... and quite often it is their own attitudes and/or aggressions that do it. It reminds me of that Oiler fan in Calgary a while back who said that he is always beaten up just for liking the Oilers, while hundreds of other Oiler fans in the city never have that happen. There is probably more to the story.

Or it could just be that he is extremely unlucky. I'm not trying to judge. It's just that high school kids often lead double lives and are different people at school than at home.
