I dunno about you, but it feels to me like the internet just got started. Most of us have probably been surfing the web on a regular basis for about 5 years now, perhaps even as many as 8 or so....and now all of a sudden there's an Internet
2?!
Who Else Knew About This?
I heard this on the radio today. Supposedly it's 10,000 times faster than standard DSL. Yes, TEN-THOUSAND times. I heard that someone on the network was able to download a high-quality movie in 30 seconds -- a feat that usually takes people with "regular" Cable or DSL modems at least a few hours, if not a few days.
It seems this Internet "2" though is restricted to organizations only, primarily universities around the U.S. as well as many government industries.
