If you are using your Nvidia firewall, i suggest removing it immediately and using something else. Google helped me find this:

Basically, unistall Nvidia Network Access Manager since it sounds like it's overly buggy and incompatible software.

Update your chipset and drivers to the latest version, and remove Nvidia Network Access Manager.
