It seems the $20M offer the Packers have made Favre has been misrepresented. It is actually part of a longterm marketing deal the two have been discussing for sometime. Obviously Favre and the Packers are synonymous and will remain so no matter what happens, so there was this licensing deal for the two. This is what the offer was and this explains why Favre was considering it and not punching Ted Thompson in the face. Has nothing to do with his retiring or playing.
