Go with my suggestions then, its going to make you really happy and will last you years until you step up to a bigger/better system.
As for wire, don't use futureshop, if someone can post that company online we all buy our wires/hdmi cables from, since for some reason I can't find it.
Just to give you an example, my 25f HDMI cable would have cost me nearly $200 from the store here, I got mine for $30 usd
