Don't want to search 11 pages, but some suggestions of bands I love:

Ensiferum - Technically "Folk Death Metal" I believe, same lead singer as Wintersun.

For anyone who likes Children of Bodom - Norther. I'll take them over CoB every day and twice on Sunday.

Of course Bloodbath - alleged "supergroup", again, just plain awesomeness.

Threat Signal - technically more of a Metalcore band, but just great. (Canadian to boot)

Heaven Shall Burn - Great German Death Metal band. One of my most listened groups. Love their cover of "Black Tears".

Finally, Noumena. Kind of tough to find their stuff, but "Misanthropolis" is one of my favourite songs.
