Sure, but what does that mean?
All Joker wanted to do was cause chaos, something Batman is fighting against.
Hell at the end of the movie, Joker even says that he won't kill Batman because he is so fun.
He doesn't care what the outcome is, he just loves doing crazy stuff to drive Batman and the rest of Gotham crazy. He's not doing it for money, or anything else, he's just doing it to do it.
