Depends on what your deductible is. We dont have windshield coverage. Our policy still covers the other windows against vandalism, maybe hail, all those kinds of things, but not for the windshield.
We have a $500 deductible on our policy, so you wont save by having windshield coverage in your insurance if that is the case. But by waving windshield coverage, it brings the premium down substantially.
Windshield insurance is costly. Do the math and ask your insurance company what your policy will cost with and then without windshield coverage.
