A buddy of mine had his work truck rear-ended a couple years ago. Unfortunately he's a little too trusting and neglected to take down the guys plate before arranging a parking lot to meet in and talk it over. The guy took off. When he tried to report it the cops said they needed a witness, the plate # and a piece of the offenders car.
Probably why so many losers are willing to take off ... it's damn near impossible to get caught.
