Hey you can make a cable any length you'd like, you can make a 500' cable if you want. But the HDMI cable is not meant to be any longer than 5 meters with out being boosted. With the highest quality cable a booster is recommended for lengths over 10 meters. Long cable lengths can cause instability of HDCP and blinking on the screen due to the weakened DDC signal which HDCP requires. Some equipment does boost signal on its own but you never know until you get the equipment out of the box and have it tested.
