The graphics are 100 times better and it seems so much more realistic, but there's a couple things I miss that SA had.

Like jumps, for one. I just discovered that wicked jump in Alderney where you can clear the water and go into Algonquin. But there doesnt seem to be a ton of em(unless I havent looked hard enough), I miss the insane jumps on SA, like takin a bike off the top of Mount Chiliad. I also liked the different arcade games. IV has one, but it's pretty lame.

There just seemed to be so much more side stuff to entertain yourself with in SA(gambling, jumps(especially in SF), arcades, take over gang territories, those different stadium missions like the stunt track and crash derby, etc). I really like GTA IV for the realism, and its an awesome, awesome game. But at least to me it seems like outside of doing missions, all there really is to do is walk/drive/fly/sail around and oogle the cool scenery.
I haven't played any GTA game before, so I can't really comment on what is lacking compared to past versions, but my understanding is that this has a completely new game engine from VC and SA and they focused on developing that at the expense of having as much side stuff as the previous versions.

GTA IV has 50 stunt jumps that you need to complete to get the 100% completion level (there are maps online - both in the game and in real life - showing you where they all are). There are also a bunch of races you can do with Brucie. Also, if you get a cop car, you can do vigilante missions, and track down the most wanted criminals in LC. You can also steal cars for Brucie (and later Brucie's friend); and delivery drug packages for Jacob; as well as perform assassinations for a shadowy character who calls you on a pay phone (plus, you can play pool, darts, bowling, go to the crazy Russian show, the Comedy Club, and the strip club). Overall, the storyline only makes up 68% of the 100% completion.

Besides Michelle and Kate, there are 3 women you can meet online and start dating. On Love Meet send messages to SoBoHoe and LawChick. On Crap List look for an ad from a party girl looking for "NSA fun and blog material". Like your other friends, if your "like" level reaches a certain level, they'll offer special abilities to you (and they do invite you in at the end of the date).
