The word 'random' bothers me ALOT as well, especially when someone equates everyday happenings as 'random' events. For example, when some bozo says "oh wow, I accidentally dropped my bag. That was so random!"
NO! IT WASN'T RANDOM! It's as common as birds and bees! It happens all the time!
Not everything in this world is random - a meteorite striking a city, that's random - everyday quirks, follies, and foibles? NOT RANDOM.
