Calgary Tower is always nice to see. Other d/t things to see are Devonian Gardens, and 8th Avenue.
The Calgary Zoo is the best in Canada and IIRC one of the Top 3 of Top 5 in NA.
Kananaskis/Banff is a must if you are new here.
McKays Ice Cream in Cochrane as Cowperson mentioned.
In July/August you can go to Sylvan Lake.
Bowness Park is not the greatest park ever, but its a nice place to go on a Spring/Summer afternoon.
Lots of Pubs/Movie Theatres/Bowling Alleys, Resteraunts just like any other city of this size.
Take a run/rollerblade along the bow river on Memorial Drive.
Fish Creek Park is nice.
The Glenbow Museum.
If you have a dog, bring it up to Nose Hill park.
If you want to go shopping go to Chinook Center. Its not West Ed, but its a pretty big mall.
Calgary is not a dull place. Those who say it is really should explore other options other than the bar............
