I was thinking this too, however, it would be fairly dangerous to ask a pitcher come in a second time, especiallly when most are already on 2 or 3 days rest

IMHO, end all star games after 11 innings, no matter what, if you absolutely must have a winner, invent something like the shootout is in hockey, a little skills competition, that's fun to watch, a will determine a winner quickly. And make it a game for fun again, none of the "determine home feild advantage" stuff.

One of the great things about baseball is you play until there is a winner. In the end neither team can make an excuse (ala the shootout). The All-Star game is fun, for the fans, which is the point.
