I took that opportunity to pass on the right, getting past everybody. Now the left lane slow poke is following me at 80, and then when we get onto an 80 zone he is following me at 110. (I don't always go that fast, but instinctively I speed up when somebody is behind me.)
My question is, why does somebody do that? Do they have no ability to drive on their own and must follow a pack or something? I just don't get it.

I've had that happen also, especially trying to follow to close after the pass. My guess is it drunks looking to race or other trouble.
