Richards has done top notch interviews, maybe you don't listen that early in the morning, but I heard one with John Madden's old play by play guy, Pat Summerall. It was weird cause usually you expect Richards to say something dumb, but you could really tell he respected the guy and was interested in what he was saying... Summerall played college and pro football in the 50's before being a well recognized play by play man.

It seems Richards is hit and miss with his interviews, if he knows he can fool around a bit on the air , maybe it detracts a bit from the actual interview.

I read somewhere here at CP that Richards was very un-interested at the Flames Poker Tourny , and has said on air he isn;t into the cards... which is weird since he is such a gambler... maybe this was one of the interviews he could care less about.
the issue isnt the guests, you are right i have heard some decent interviews .. irs more along the lines of the regular controbutors.

Calgary has Alan Maki, Scott Taylor and Steven Brunt. Vancouver has Bob McKenzie, Pierre McGuire and Kelly Hrudey. Who do you think has more interesting input?
