I was not in a panic. But I sent my first emails March 22nd. I expected some sort of reply.# Cheese said it was a thing non playoff teams should be doing, starting negotiations for the RFA.# So I tried.

And like a GM, if life work family and other various stuff keeps a participant in the league too busy to play, then perhaps you are just that. Too busy to play.#

I don't see a MAJOR differnce in agents busy-ness and a GM being busy. Two weeks was ample time to respond in some way to an email.
the difference is that we are doing this agent thing for fun. to help out. to make YOUR simulation that much more realistic.

believe me, i dont sit and think all day about how to negotiate contracts the same way you sit and think of how to build your team. there's a difference there.

there are also 4 agents representing ~400 players each compared to 30 gms looking after, what, 60 each?

we also have to check player data, enter it, sometimes from scratch, in addition to thinking of 'deals' for our players.

i agree that emails arent difficult to send, but when you have a ton to do, it gets overwhelming in a way, and i'm sure many of the gm's dont think of that.

personally, i have had an incredibly busy 2005, and had home and work issues and illness to deal with as well.

i dont mean to come across as negative or defensive, but as i said, your priorities are far different than ours. i think patience from the gm's and more agents to deal would be a welcome addition.

this has been a kind of ramble, rant, but i just hope some of you can at least see where i'm coming from.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
