that's certainly the story but its always been a bit fishy. I lived in Edmonton in the early 90s, only about 5 years after the Tornado, and no-one there I knew associated the monicker City of Champions with the Tornado. the Tornado was obviously devastating but 'champion' isn't usually the first word that comes to mind at the time of an event like that, yet at the same time their sports teams were cleaning up everywhere.
just admit it...you were bragging about your teams...its ok...they were good then
