I agree, I think I read that Adobe had flash ready to go on the iPhone, but I don't think it can just be installed like any other app since it's integrated into the browser, plus the normal ToS for iPhone apps prevent an app that runs arbitrary code. So they'd have to work with Apple to get it integrated properly. Which I'm sure will happen eventually, but yeah I wish it would be sooner.
EDIT: Though if I think about it, allowing Flex/AIR could detract from their own developer's program, so maybe not.
