Is this just for Rogers, or for all iPhones?? Maybe this is Apple's way of combating the unlockers, but this really sucks.
For the phone to lock every time you swap a SIM card means I don't own my phone, Apple does.
That can't be true. What about business users who take their phone into another country and buy a SIM card to use? What about countries that are selling the iPhone without a contract for more, they can't restrict those people like that. What about countries that it's illegal to have a locked device?
So either there's different firmwares for the iPhone this time, which I find highly doubtful, or this documentation is wrong and the phone doesn't brick itself with a new SIM card.
