Because of this fact (and not because it's "pretty"), I think Roger's is in a very good position to charge whatever they want. Thing is, Roger's functions in a near monopoly, rendering most "market forces" mute. The only way to hurt Roger's on this is to not buy a GSM phone in Canada at all. Given how ty the phones on Bell/Telus are, it's kinda hard to do that.
Thing is, even Apple couldn't change Roger's plans. All Apple will care about is that it is seen as the benevolent style god that is being abused by the evil mobility company. It's total PR and marketing and it's so transparent it's awe inspiring.

yah.. that is the problem. I switched to rogers when my telus plan was over for 2 reasons.
1) GSM
2) iPhone.
So I guess I am part of the problem, they are getting my money currently, but i will not buy an iPhone at any point, resign with rogers for an extra 3 years, until the data plans are decent.
After the auction is over, if there is another gsm player in canada, then i will probably buy out my rogers contract and move to them, provided it makes sense.
