AHL is pro and WHL is amateur. Thats the biggest difference. I can see that you are an Oiler fan. Did you know Edmonton had a WHL team about a half decade ago? They were the Edmonton Ice, but have since moved to Cranbrook and are now the Kooteny Ice
Any AHL team would destroy a WHL team as they are older, bigger, faster, and alot better. But the 'dub is a good league, in fact, the best league out of the CHL. But the AHL is the second best hockey league in the world.
