Personally I don't care if cops use their lights to get to their donuts faster. If I was a cop I'd probably do it once in awhile like on nights that happen to be hectic or short staffed and I know that this may be my only few minutes to grab a coffee for the next four hours.
Perks of the job as far as I'm concerned. Just like lawyers getting free legal advice and realtors not paying commission, cops get to where they're going faster than the rest of us, if and when they want to.
