I've been on two - first one was set up by a friend of mine - a guy she went to college with. It was horribly bad. He was shorter than me (I'm 5'2"), skinnier than me, and ... honestly?? Ugly.
I couldn't look him in the eye - heck, anywhere in his face because I was so turned off by him. Did supper, movie and oh yeah, I had to drive since he didn't have his license.
Second one - a guy I went to church with set me up with his best friend. Went on a date four years ago last week and have been married for over 2 1/2 years now.
