You know, this site just never seemed like it was a good idea for me. Here's a few reasons why.

This is the big on for me, and in the end it's killed a lot of relationships that had already either started or were just getting going. Communication over the internet is really REALLY hard. If you make any sort of joke that is lewd or possibly mean that would get passed off as playful flirting in real life, you must follow it with every cute emoticon you have, otherwise it's probably going to crash and burn. How much do you want to bet a lot of these people are sensitive about their looks and that it would end poorly if you made a joke about a girl being "just not having enough symmetry." (On the flip side, how fun would it be to get on there and just shoot everyone down?)

The second one is also a problem. Pictures online are deceiving. Angles are everything. I've seen girls who look stunning in one photo and then make me scream "DO NOT WANT" and run from the computer crying in other photos. One of my friends willfully admits that she takes around 100, 200 pictures when she's getting photos of her self and uses about five of them.

And the final one, if you are on there looking for anything beyond shallow sex you're in for a surprise. You're trying to date someone on the sole basis of their looks. The relationship is as deep as the kiddie pool.
