To me it would have been easier for them to keep the transformers bulky from a CGI standpoint and for the look of the robots too. well because you know going CGI, and live action there would be people out there complaining that when they transformed, something has to happen to the engine, seats, mirrors, etc etc etc, because it cant just vanish...because if it did just vanish and was no longer distinguishable it would suspend the realism of it...because when you go to watch a movie about gigantic robots form outer space that resemble every day objects, it better be realistic dammit
