And how long have people been developing them for? There are easily over 100 for the iPhone without the dev-kit. Once the iTunes store opens up applications there will be tonnes.

Some highlights of my applications:
Solitaire
Dominoes
Mobile Scrobbler
Sketches (etch-a-sketch)
iSplit (split a bill, add tax and tip)
Phonezap (I use it to create custom ringtones)

Most of the others I tinker with.


For those worried about the data usage. I just got my last bill and I used 85MB. I don't tend to use it much during work days since I'm either at work or at home and have computers there. Mostly use it for e-mail and sms.
