Yes its true. There is no way to split "green" electrons from "carbon" electrons. It all goes to the same power pool. You use the electricity that is provided to you from your power company.

All green products are essentially offsets that the company you purchase electricity from, they in turn purchases the amount of electricity you consume from a green source.

Like i said, the only way to 100% be sure you are getting electricity from renewable resources is to be off the grid and use solar / wind / hydro that service only your residence.
