They do sell them year round. And they do not care who buys them either. I live outside of the city and bought 2. Sadly, they are not bear proof. Last fall, the local bear on our property, made a little visit during the night. He lifted the composter out of the ground, not broken or damaged, just pulled it out, and all the stuff I composted all summer got eaten in one night.
This spring, he came out of hibernation and of course was crazy hungry. Everything I was composting all winter got eaten in one night again
