Agreed. Obviously what happened was a tragedy, and being a victim of violence is a terrible thing, both physically and psychologically. But letting your anger turn you against an entire ethnic group won't help your dad--it will just make you intolerant. Those guys didn't assault your dad because of their ethnicity. You shouldn't hate them for their ethnicity either. Hate them for what they did--that's fine--but I think you'll be better off and more at peace with yourself if you leave the racial stuff out of it.
