That review was garbage. Anyone who thinks this movie is too violent is a little wuss. The violence is so over the top that it isn't meant to be taken seriously. To call this movie faddish does it no justice. It is highly creative and it is gonna change the way movies are made in the future. Hollywood needs a kick in the ass so it starts taking more risks and making fresh and innovative movies like Sin City. Unfortunately we are probably gonna see a lot of cheap copycats like what happened with The Matrix but nothing is gonna touch this one for a while that I can see. I can't really recall the last time a movie ended and the theatre was buzzing with chatter about what they had just seen. My favourite performances were definitely Mickey Rourke and Elijah Wood but Stahl, Del toro and Clive Owen were excellent as well. I'll be seeing it again very soon.
I agree with you for the most part, but what about Bruce Willis? I thought it was his best performance in a while.

And what was up with Benicio's nose? Crazy make-up job, I think.
