My mom is shopping for a newer vehicle these days too. Unlike most 61 year old women in the market for vehicles...she wants something with decent power thats a nice driving car and fuel economy be sort of damned...today's car is much better on gas than what she's driven for most of her life. Currently she's driving a 1995 E320, but like any car that old, the repair bills are starting to show up and she doesn't really want that hastle.

She did look at a new Benz C class with the 3 litre engine. Said that it was around 40k at the dealership. Are these new C class Benz's any good? Won't be as nice as an E class, but it's 13 years newer. She looked at other cars from the Japanese mid size class, but she always claims...they're not Benz's when I ask her about them.
