Yeah... I still have no idea how MS took all the hits in the face for their business practices, when Apple makes MS look like a walk in the park.
Aside from that, though... Apple's 100% control-freak power grasp on their products and implementations actually works in the customer's favour with the iPhone - since every NA carrier applies their own locks and restrictions on every other cell phone.
Not on the iPhone though. This is one time I love Apple's "STFU and sell what we give you" approach to business.
