Its not just Roger's, ITS SHAW CABLE TOO. It goes back to various advertising agencies in the 70's that realized that most people don't pay attention to T.V., but they knew that people turn their heads at sudden sound, so they went back to their clients LIKE COCA COLA, PEPSI, FORD, GM, AND THE NFL. And said, we need to make our commericals louder, and the T.V. shows quieter. BUT WHAT ABOUT SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES, THAT WAS THE QUESTION TOO. So they embeded images in the Lassie show encouraging kids to SMOKE. And the advertising wars were on.
