With the third round pick
FooFighter15 is pleased to select none other then his idol
Dave Grohl at drums.
"Once Danny Carey was taken it was an easy choice."
FF15 went on to say "I mean he's who I wanted all along. I figured most people don't think of him as a drummer anymore so he would still be available at this point, but I never thought Carey would be so that's what made it so tough. But fortunately now that my main picks have been taken, and I got who I wanted, the rest of my band will be full of surprises for others, but exactly who I wanted all along."
Quote:
Rarely in the history of rock has a musician switched bands and instruments simultaneously with such a high degree of success as Dave Grohl.
Born on January 14, 1969, Grohl grew up in Washington, D.C., teaching himself to play drums and guitar. While still a teenager, he joined his first real band, independent D.C. punkers Scream, and toured the world as their drummer. After Scream broke up in the late '80s, Grohl relocated to Seattle and tried out for a little-known band who had a drum vacancy - Nirvana.
