Indeed.
There are martial arts academies here that advertise Brazilian Ju Jitsu starting as early as 12 I believe. Teenagers go from park to park here in the city staging impromptu MMA matches. Not out of malice like the afterschool fights, but as their idea of a good time. (Not that I endorse any of this, just pointing out the growth of the sport among the younger ones.)
