And I'm sure you're going to be glued to the TV this summer when Olympic wrestling is on too. The technical aspects of MMA are the typical argument to hide the fact that most people watch it to see some bare-knuckle beat downs.

The fact that there's MMAers out there that were simply tough guys off the street and they learned a couple counters puts it at a level infinitely below boxing, IMO.

It's funny - half the people in this thread ripping on J Pold for underestimating the strategy of MMA just did the same thing with boxing. And I'm sure if you asked someone well versed in both they'd easily tell you that boxing is by far the more technically difficult sport. It's called the sweet science for a reason.
