I think it's kind of odd that you are defending boxing and at the same time suggesting that MMA is a sport in which shady characters participate and it is sponsored by disreputable people.
Boxing is notoriously controlled by criminals (Don King, the mafia). The most famous and (arguably) successful boxer of the last 30 years went to prison for rape in the middle of his career, never mind all the other stuff he did. The whole goddamn sport is fixed and everyone knows it.
This Kimbo Slice character doesn't represent MMA at all, so your point is moot anyway.
EDIT: And hell, I'm not even a fan. I'll watch it if it's free though and I did look up the YouTube video of the fight in question.
