The thread title is a little misleading.
In reality, KCBS's MMA coverage defeated KNBC's NHL coverage.
Even then, The MMA was shown in primetime (9pm - 11pm, but ran late) while the SCF was from 5:19pm - 7:46 PDT, so even there they were in different timeslots. I would think an event which intrudes upon the supper hour wouldn't have a chance at as large of an audience. I'm not saying if the situation was reversed the SCF would have won, only that you aren't exactly comparing the same things.
