Meh, if a girl wants a date she can ask a guy out.
Judging from the tone of the first article it sounds like the author was stuck for a topic and decided to write about some rant session she had with a couple of her friends. The follow up article is hilarious because she got paid to publish other people's work.
Women won the right to be moral equals with men. What comes with that is the leveling of the dating play field. It is no longer the man's responsibility to drive all courtship. If a woman is complaining that men aren't assertive, maybe it's not a problem with the guys but a problem with her own behavior... Most guys I know don't want anything to do with a narcissistic girl who expects to be waited upon.
And trust me, there are enough girls out there who get the dating scene to keep the guys happy. If you're having trouble, it's your own damn fault.
