Yeah, thats the place you need to be.

1. Press 'ENTER' to setup Windows XP.
2. Agree to the license agreement\
3. Press 'R' to repair the selected Windows XP installation.'

Note the caution:
***CAUTION*** if you do not see the option to repair the selected Windows XP installation DO NOT choose the option to continue installing a fresh copy without repairing as that will overwrite your data and cause unrecoverable data loss.

I would have taken the time to find a link similar to this if I wasn't at work, but you seemed to have done well for yourself.

Note: While it could very well mean that it was due to SP2, I don't know that for sure.

Make sure that you perform Windows Update as all the updates that you have previously done are now gone! Unfortunately you have to get all the updates before you grab SP2, if you have problems getting SP2 you may want to backup all the data from the computer and completely reinstall windows, this time performing a full format (NTFS).
